Thinking of parting ways with your Belong internet? We’d be sorry to see you go.
If there’s anything we can do to help you get more from our internet service – from finding a plan that suits you better, to tackling issues you might be having with your service – just get in touch by calling us on .
Cancelling your service
Log in to your Belong account using your email address and password
Select Manage internet
Scroll down to Manage your service
Select Cancel service and follow the prompts.
Once your service has been cancelled, you'll receive an email confirming this. Please allow up to 24 hours to receive your confirmation.
Things you should know:
We will start cancelling your service on your requested disconnect date.
Billing will cease on the requested disconnect date; however, the service may continue to work for up to 48 hours after that.
Contact us if you submit a disconnection request on the last day of your billing cycle. We prepare invoices on the first day of your billing cycle, so if you cancel your service, we'll need to ensure you aren't charged for the upcoming month. The first day of your billing cycle is the Issue Date on your Belong invoice.
You'll lose any remaining days of your plan from your disconnection date.- You won't get any refunds on payments already made.
Started transferring to another provider?
Before you transfer your service to another provider, it's a good idea to check with us to make sure you're aware of any Early Termination Charges as a result of any outstanding contract or instalment plan terms, which may be applicable.
If you have requested to transfer your service from Belong to another provider, we will receive a request to cancel your Belong service, including the invoice and charging.
Even if a new provider is handling your internet transfer, it’s well worth getting in touch to confirm your Belong account has been properly closed off.
Moving home
If you’re moving home, it’s free to move your Belong internet service to a new address. (Although there may be a connection charge if you need to hook up the nbn at a newly built property.)
